Meet Shimmer

Dear Reader,

My name is Shimmer, and I am a two-year-old Shih Tzu! I’m named after the Taylor Swift song “Bejeweled” because “I can still make the whole place Shimmer.” I live in New York City with my mommy, Suzanne, and we have so many fun adventures. I love going around the city in my stroller, playing in Central Park, and just hanging out with my mommy and our friends.

We also visit Texas often to see family and work in our Shimmer and Co. booth in Lubbock. Shimmer & Co. opened in April 2025, and I have had the best time running it! In November 2025, we expanded the store online and have loved seeing Shimmer & Co. grow.

No matter where I am, I love belly rubs and often plop on my back to let the people around me know I need one. And I’m so darn cute no one can ever say no! At night, I often get the zoomies (aka the shimmies) and play with my mommy, and we have so much fun. I am a quick learner and love showing off my tricks — I can even dance like my mommy! Some other things I enjoy are dressing up, traveling, eating treats, and spending time with my family and friends.

Shimmer & Co. is full of my favorite things — treats, clothes, bows, bandanas, toys, and more. We have things for dogs of all sizes, both girl and boy dogs, and even stuff for our humans.
